This facility has served patients and their families since 1997. In 2014, a new, six-bed wing was added to the facility, to create a total of 18 patient rooms.

Angel House Hospice Care Center

This six-bed facility opened in Whiteville in 2008. It is centrally located to serve our patients in Columbus and Bladen counties and located approximately one mile from Columbus Regional Healthcare System.

This seven-bed facility began serving patients in 2012. It is located less than two miles from Novant Brunswick Medical Center and conveniently located to serve patients in Brunswick County and Myrtle Beach.

About Our Hospice Care Centers

At Lower Cape Fear LifeCare (formerly Lower Cape Fear Hospice), our compassionate and expert care teams support your goals of care in the last months of life. About 95 percent of our hospice patients are served where they are: in their own home, a nursing or assisted living facility, or a hospital.

However, if your health care needs can’t be met at home, our hospice care centers are here for you. These wonderful facilities, located in beautiful and serene nearby locations, offer you and your family the medical expertise, pain management services and spiritual/emotional support needed.

Our hospice care centers feature:

  • Full-time physicians on staff

The Dr. Robert M. Fales Hospice Pavilion in Wilmington houses a state-of-the-art training center used to train our clinical staff, which ensures our patients receive high-quality hospice and palliative care.
