Board of Directors

The first board of directors was founded in 1980 by community volunteers who wanted to bring the benefit of hospice care to the community. The group was led by local physician Dr. Daniel Gottovi.

Our Board of Directors is charged with making policy and guiding the direction, mission, budget and programs of Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.

Governance

“I can’t say enough about the care my father received in his final days. The love and support for all of us allowed each of us to grieve in our own way. Personal, professional, compassionate, and simply caring. I’ll never forget opening the doors to the pine trees and hearing the birds call my father home. God bless you all.”

Quality Counts

Lower Cape Fear LifeCare provides more than one million dollars of care each year not covered by another source. We serve all patients regardless of their ability to pay.

Don’t Wait

Only 10% of our patients take advantage of the full Medicare hospice benefit which includes ALL medical care, medications, equipment and visits related to diagnosis.
